The Univers 1600 manual and pneumatic cryogenic control valve series is perfect for use at cryogenic temperatures down to LHe (1.8 K). These valves are supplied as standard with welding flanges for vacuum jacketing (custom sizes available on request).
The valve body optimises the heat input and allows for an optimal calculated flow rate (Kv value). The valves feature a "sniffle hole" (G1/8” thread) to detect chamber/pressure control for supervision of the stainless steel bellows seal tightness.
The pneumatic version of the valve features a pneumatic diaphragm actuator with a very small footprint for space saving on installation. The regulating/control version of the valve is offered with a high-value IP-Controller with various standard tranmission protocols, as well as memory function, limit switches and air filter regulators. The valves can be sized to accomadate various regulation ratios, such as 1:30/1:50/1:100 for extremely precise flow control. Regulating cones can be designed to deliver bespoke characteristics, even for very low pressure control rates down to < 1 BAR.
The Univers 1600 series valves can optionally have Soldered Cu flangse as thermal couplings, positioned along the extended stem. Sliding thermal contacts can cool the valve plug from the stem extension outer tube. High flow surface treatments, such as electropolishing or passivation are available for decreased blistering.
