Pneumatic and Electronic Actuated Control Valves

Flow control valves are devices used to control the flow of liquid or gas in a process system, by regulating the requirements of the application. They play a crucial role in managing the flow of liquids or gases, ensuring optimal performance. Our control valves offer a multitude of CV's and flow characteristics available in almost every line size.

By adjusting the position of the valve, changes to the flow rate can be controlled, pressure managed and the direction of the fluid adjusted.

At Boiswood, we are proud to work with Richards Industrials to supply quality flow control valves, with a wide selection available to fulfil the requirements of your systems.

Our complete range of specially designed and selected control valves includes:

  • Pneumatic Flow Control Valves
  • Electronic Flow Control Valves
  • High Pressure and High Temperature Control Valves
  • Mixing and Diverting (Three Way) Control Valves
  • Heavy Duty and Angled Control Valves

Technical Details

Actuators are required to operate the valves remotely. They also allow for the accurate management of frequent flow changes. Actuators reduce the need for manual work as they create an automated operating systems, increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the application. We offer 2 main types of actuators:

  • Pneumatic - using air pressure to control the valve.
  • Electrical - using electrical/power signals to control the valve.

MK708 Family

The Mark 708 series was developed by Jordan Valve (a division of Richards Industrials) to provide the most accurate control available for fractional flow services: whether for pilot plant installations, test stands, R&D test facilities, or for specialised processes such as dosing, injection and venting applications.

Technical Details

  • CVs ranging from 0.00001 to 4.
  • Inlet Pressures up to 344 BAR (5000 PSI), split range with optional positioner.
  • Line Sizes typical in ¼”, ½” and ¾” confiugrations.
  • Top or Side Mount Positioners.
  • Pneumatic and Electric Actuation.
  • 2-Way or 3-Way Designs

Features & Benefits

  • NAMUR Yoke - rugged cast 304SST provides flexible mounting options for accessories.
  • Reversible Multi-Spring Actuator - can be reversed without any additional parts.
  • Rolling Diaphragm - provides constant surface area throughout the entire valve stroke with repetable stem movement for changing input signals.
  • Guided Trim - combined with spring loaded PTFE packing to prevent stem/bonnet leakage.
  • Light & Compact Construction - MK708 with threaded or socket weld ends weighs only 7lbs.
  • Bolted Bonnet - allows for easy trim changes, ensures proper alignment and permits removal without disassembly of control signal connections on the actuator.
  • Quick Change Trim - allows for repair work while the body stays in line. Complete seat/plug removal and re-assembly in 5 minutes or less.
  • Free Floating Plug - improves alignment, shut-off and control accuracy.

MK8000 Family

The Mark 8000 Series is a group of heavy duty control valves specifically designed for process applications requiring full flow or fractional flow control. Available with a wide selection of body sizes and styles, this valve can be configured in 2-way or 3-way designs, for diverting or mixing service and with globe or angle valve style seats.

Technical Details

  • Sizes from 1/2" to 2".
  • Angle pattern design up to 1".
  • Steels, Alloys or Plastic construction materials.
  • Witholds pressures up to 414 BAR (6,000 PSI).
  • Shutof Class II, IV, or VI.
  • Pneumatic or Electric versions available.

Features & Benefits

  • Maintenace Friendly - can be done inline for quick/easy trim replacements.
  • Pressure Regulation - can be used to also control pressure values.
  • Highly Customisable - through changing various sizes and connections. Often made in a compact design with corrosive-resistant materials.
  • Easy to Install - to reduce downtime and operating costs.
  • Compatibility - suitable and flexible to use with a range of fluids and gases.

  • Tyre recycling

Summary

Flow control valves are a vital component used across various industries to regulate the flow of fluids and gases. They are employed in both hydraulic and pneumatic systems to control the direction and speed of actuators. The valves can be used in pipelines and automotive systems.

They play a critical role in maintaining efficiency, safety and optimal performance in many industrial and commercials environments.
