High Pressure Self Acting Control Valve for Inlet Pressures up to 100 BAR*
The DM503 pressure reducer is a diaphragm-controlled spring-loaded proportional control valve for small to medium flow rates and high inlet pressures. The valve body and medium-wetted internal parts are made of stainless steel 316Ti and 316L featuring excellent corrosion resistance. The valve cone is soft-seated.
The outlet pressure to be controlled is balanced across the control unit by the force of the valve spring (set pressure). As the outlet pressure rises above the pressure set using the adjusting screw, the valve cone moves towards the seat and the volume of medium is reduced. As the outlet pressure drops, the valve control orifice increases; when the pipeline is depressurised, the valve is open. Rotating the adjusting screw clockwise increases the outlet pressure.
These valves are not shut-off elements ensuring a tight closing of the valve. In accordance with DIN EN 60534-4 and/or ANSI FCI 70-2 they may feature a leakage rate in closed position in compliance with the leakage classes IV (0,01 % Kvs value).
Not sure if this is the right product? Pressure Reducing Valves are designed to reduce a high and frequently fluctuating pressure to an adjustable constant pressure downstream of the valve. For a full overview on our self regulating pressure control valves, you can click here to visit our detailed blog which breaks down the functionality of our pressure reducing valves. For valves with *higher inlet pressures than 100 BAR, we recommend looking at the model DM510 for pressures up to 250 BAR or model DM620 for pressures up to 320 BAR.
